Divino Business Solutions Inc. is seeking a motivated and hands-on HR Generalist to join our team in Cambridge, Ontario. The HR Generalist will support the day-to-day human resources needs of the organization across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, payroll and benefits coordination, workplace policies, and employment compliance. This role is well suited to an HR professional who enjoys working closely with both employees and management, taking ownership of HR processes, and helping build a positive, organized, and people-focused workplace. The HR Generalist will support the day-to-day human resources needs of the organization across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, payroll and benefits coordination, workplace policies, and employment compliance.

The successful candidate will be approachable, detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable balancing employee support with the administrative and compliance responsibilities of the HR function.
Manage the recruitment process, including preparing job postings, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, conducting reference checks, and preparing employment offers.
Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding to ensure a professional and consistent employee experience.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation.
Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, workplace concerns, benefits, leaves, attendance, and general HR inquiries.
Support managers with employee relations, coaching, attendance management, performance concerns, and corrective action processes.
Assist with workplace investigations and maintain appropriate documentation.
Prepare and maintain employment letters, contracts, policy acknowledgements, disciplinary documentation, and other HR correspondence.
Develop, review, and update HR policies, procedures, forms, and internal HR processes.
Support compliance with applicable Ontario employment standards, human rights, accessibility, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Coordinate employee information required for payroll, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, vacation, leaves, and other payroll-related updates.
Support employee benefits administration and respond to employee benefit inquiries.
Maintain and update HRIS and employee-management systems.
Track vacation, attendance, leaves of absence, training, and other employee information.
Assist with workplace health and safety initiatives and WSIB-related administration where applicable.
Coordinate mandatory training and employee development activities.
Support employee performance review and development processes.
Assist management with compensation reviews, workforce planning, employee engagement, and other HR initiatives.
Prepare HR reports and employee-related metrics as required.
Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, documentation, employee experience, and operational efficiency.
Promote a respectful, inclusive, professional, and collaborative workplace culture.
Perform other human resources duties as required.
Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 2–4 years of progressive human resources experience, preferably in an HR Generalist or similar position.
Good working knowledge of Ontario employment standards and HR best practices.
Experience with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.
Experience preparing HR documentation, employment letters, policies, and employee records.
Strong understanding of confidentiality and the appropriate handling of sensitive employee information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build professional relationships with employees and managers.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and professional judgment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Experience using HRIS, payroll, scheduling, or employee-management systems is an asset.
CHRP designation or progress toward a CHRP designation is considered an asset.
Experience with payroll coordination, benefits administration, workplace health and safety, or WSIB administration is considered an asset.
